Markings on inside of cellidor scales. What is this???

I was making a couple hybrid-scaled SAKs, mixing economy and regular scales when I noticed these markings on the inside of the economy scales.  Seems like it would take a long time to hand mark these... what is going on here? A message from the other side? of the Atlantic???


This is the top scale of an economy camper from the late 80's or 90s.

Anybody got the 411 on this?

Mold markings, probably denoting mold number and batch info.

Very likely.  I used to work in a fiberglass tub factory back in the 80's and the engineers would mark the molds to identify runs. It was typical to see them get the die maker to use a Dremmel to mark the mold to show updates, versions,  issues.

This could be quarters of the year,  nylon suppliers,  even shift.
