Leatherman in SPACE!

I was watching a replay of the SpaceX Crew-3 Dragon docking with the ISS, when they cut to a shot inside the ISS of astronaut Mark Vande Hei opening the inner hatch on the docking station (around 2:04:09 in the video linked).

 He appears to be wearing a nylon Leatherman sheath horizontally on his belt.

Maybe but that looks like a Wave sheath to me not the Plus version the second generation one   of course I may be wrong the NASA one just happens to be in his favorite sheath

After the title of this thread I was hoping to see a pic of a PST looming over a lunar landscape like the monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I wonder if the astronaut brought his own Leatherman up with him, or if it stays on board as station equipment. 

I remember seeing a SAK either tethered or velcroed to a wall of the ISS in a previous video; I assumed that it just stays up there.

Many astronauts take their own MT with them. Chris Hadfield used his official issue Master Craftsman to break into the Mir space station, and Clayton C. Anderson used his Free P4 when a specialized valve-release tool went missing.

I don't spend much time in space stations these days, but I imagine there's a limited number places it can go....

What did they do, leave it on the roof when they drove off?

Ha, I have a therman now you're ready container. The full sticker was not going to fit so I cut a few letters off.

After touring the ISS virtually, I have no difficulty in believing that things get lost up there. Every single surface is covered with equipment, wiring, and supplies, plus there's the fact that an item can "fall" in any direction, not just "down" as on Earth.
