Finally!! A real use for my Mora!!!

Camping up in Silver Lake Michigan. Trying to get fire going but the wood sucks.

Mora to the rescue. Batonned (is that a word??) several pieces down and finally got a fire going.

Roughed the Mora up a bit, but that's what's it's for!!

The reason the handle is boinked is the knife got stuck in one of those pieces of wood and it had drifted and the tip was not sticking out. I tried getting it out but it was really stuck so I had to beat it at the end of the handle.

Ah! That explains it  :D

Thats one of the Bushcraft blacks few weakneses. The rubber overmold can get damaged. I got some splinters tearing into mine batoning one time.
