Bit Driver Extender
on: October 20, 2008, 04:14:49 PM
Hey guys,

Anyone out there who can help my get this:

Bit Driver Extender
Extend your reach with the 3.25" Bit Driver Extender. Holds standard Leatherman bits and standard hex bits. For use with any Leatherman tool or knife that features a large bit driver (Charge models, Surge, Wave, e306x/e307x, k502x/k503x, h502/h503).
Preferable some one in Europe, shipping should not be more expencive than the item it self I guess  :D

And i have one of these:
Kraftform Kompakt 20 mit Tasche.

Not sure what I want for it,.... But if you are interested, let me know.

Zepla-
Instead of buying a LM-specific bit extender, I bought a regular 1/4" hex drive magnetized bit holder from a local hardware store for about $3. Then, I spent a few minutes at the bench grinder to grind it down to fit my Surge & Charge AL. Pretty easy and cheap, if you access to a bench grinder....

BTW - got this idea off of this site (can't find the link right now...)

Here's one old thread with some pictures of this mod:
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,680.0.html

The extender I got doesn't have this large-diameter section at the tip - just a straight cylinder, so it fits nicely in the elastic side pocket on my LM sheath.

That is just what I was thinking of. To put it in the elastic pocket in the sheath. One side my fenix lod ce, middle the Wave and the otherside a bit holder! Just makes sence doesn't it  :D I mean what else to put in there

Anyway, I'll get me a cheap bit holder to experiment some day.

Thanks for thinking with me  :tu:
