How old are you?!
Thanks for that cryptrick Think i've pretty much made my mind up now! Got a question for you though When you plug it into the computer can you still play music on the player or does it go to a charging/transferring mode? Would be nice to try and make a docking station for it if possible
Go for the Ipod line has lots of aftermarket products.

You could just replace the firmware on the ipod.Neil
Nice idea Mikko but too small a capacity. I figure one of the real old ones a 120GB 2.5" drive and Rockbox the firmware should be the ticket. The irony is Ryan that I picked up a broken AV700TV from a car boot sale recently. Got it working again, great for films... which I have no desire to watch on the move and its too big with its 7" screen for the car . Ho hum Neil
Ah, you should have bought the Sansa.
I went with a pile of parts Neil
...Looks like fun
