Dremem drill press
on: October 20, 2008, 08:16:06 AM
Anyone have experience with a small drill press? I already have a couple Dremel tools and was looking at this press for small jobs, including mods. Fits on the work bench, don't have the room for a full size one and in most cases for small work a Dremel tools has enough power.

Dremel spins way to fast for drilling stuff, especially metal. For that price you can pick up a real table top drill press off craigslist.

My Dremel has a speed adjustment ( rheostat ) that slows it down for drilling, I can drill it while holding the Dremel in my hand.
I just need something to align and drill at preset angles.

How slow does it go? My preferred speed on metal is below 120 rpm.
