Rough Rider Premium Select

I didn't know these existed until I saw them on Heinnie's website so I bought the two they have available. I've come to quite like the RR knives over the last year or so.

These are the Premium Select Congress and Mini Trapper.

So what makes them premium? Buffalo horn, Black Pearl and abalone handles, nickel silver bolsters and spacers and filed back springs.

Now the price isn't so premium, £22.95 for the congress and £17.95 for the mini trapper.

The blade steel is the same SS they use in a their other models and comes razor sharp, takes and holds an edge very well and doesn't seem to rust or tarnish (in my experience to date).

These are pretty much up there with Case now in terms of quality. I think they are onto a winner with these and I want to see more!

Those are quite stylish.  THey'd be great for a night out and certainly something to hand down to the kids.

I need to pick up a rough rider or two... hmm... the flea market is this weekend... there's a knife dealer there with rough riders...
