P.S.: I like (to look at) some alox colors other than silver when they are new, but i absolutely hate the way colored alox ages, contrary to many here. I don't find a faded (rubbed off) and scratched colored pocket knife with bits of silver shining underneath sexy or good looking... Sorry...

As I suspected, I think most people reserve their colored alox for the collection. I do this too with many knives but at the same time, I think it's kind of a drag and I should carry them awl. The black Pioneer isn't too hard to get and I feel liberated carrying it. I decided to sell my vanilla silver Pioneers. If I'm going silver, it'll be a Soldier or Cadet. I'd planned to carry my green Farmer but couldn't bring myself to do it. A big part of me wants to unbox and carry everything that isn't more than 30 or so years old. blah blah blahhere's some more blah about alox indecision via youtube:

Wait...that Swisstool... That's an RT? I thought they were black handled with the lasering on the blade? *Mind blown*

However the original Sturdy Boy was red, I think, and that was before the Soldier hit, AFAIK.

Definitely black alox for me, with pocket wear. I quite like the silver but it's a bit plain, and I don't like red either in alox or celidor. Some of the other colours are OK, particularly this year's OD green.
I'm completely sold on red and black now. They age so well. Still much prefer OC to NC. Gots to get me a non-silver Farmer now. What have you started El-C?via Imgflip Meme Generator
