even though I hardly ever use the awl unless I'm working with wood, i do miss it on the Compact... Even though I'm hooked.... but I miss the 93 MM awl when I'm carrying pretty much any cellidor except Pikachu

That's why i don't like the combo tool at all, it's not a capable or sturdy enough driver / pry bar for me. And for me that's more important than having full sized (91mm) scissors on me. I can carry any Sak in the 84/91/93 line with no problem if it has at least the following tools: the blade, the can opener and the bottle opener, and if it has the awl even better but not crucial, everything else is just a bonus really...
That is exactly how I feel as well. I may have said in my original post that blade, scissors and file were my most needed tools. But I'm realizing that's not true. Blade and full opener layer are the essentials. I'm a tinkerer at heart, and the opener layer is what makes a SAK a multitool. 93mm awl is an awesome bonus as well because it serves as a handy backup blade for dirty tasks like cutting through packaging tape. And as a more robust pokey stabby tip than the main blade.

I do believe my Compact problem is solved... By keeping it in the drawer with the rest of my collection!  Pioneer in the pocket, Manager on the keyring and Cybertool 41 on my desk when at home and in the pack when traveling. There is very little that a Pioneer+Manger can't handle, and there is nothing a CT41 can't handle!

Nope. If the Compact with titanium scales weights as much as a regular compact and a manager, then it also weighs nearly as much as a pioneer and a manager. So the reigning champs pioneer+manager are still the winners.

OP's OP is hereby confirmed!

Today I was going to screw a smoke detector to a basement ceiling with our typical torx screws.
I soon found out I left my torx screw driver upstairs.
I then recalled this thread and the Huntsman in my pocket...

Confirmed!

Just don't twist too hard, I've bent a couple can opener ends in Phillips... Didn't have another tool for the job...  The inline Phillips would not have failed.

Time to get a scientist.

Scientist w/Ambassador.  That's a helluva combo.

Did that once to my Cadet on a Phillips. Twisted to hard and put a couple tiny dents on the corners of the can opener tip. Never again will I over torque a SAK.
