Just came across some of this guys paintings, blown away by the detail, they are not photos, but oil paintings, unreal what can be done with oil and canvas, heres a few samples, google image for more, cant believe I never saw them before today:

Amazing. The screen with early 70s cars brought back memories of what it was like back then.
