Did you order new? Or, were you able to find a previous owned Surge?

I have an interest in a Surge as well, the doggone challenge is the reason.

I ordered new. I found a BO Surge on Amazon for $84.00 shipped so figured what the heck.

I did receive it and am very pleased.  :D fit and finish is excellent and everything is functioning flawlessly. That's all you guys get for now. I just walked in the door from work and I have to be right back there in 7 hours so I have to get to bed. Pics and full impressions soon.

Hey cap,
Take some close up photos inside the handle with the opener out and some close ups of the end pivot with the opener half way out.
Also picture thw outside of the handle with the opener all the way out so we can see the groove engagement.

I am having a seriously hard time picturing what might be afoot.
Others and myself might be able to solve the problem if we see it. Sending it back to LM takea weeks to get it back
