Eklund Full Tang
on: October 28, 2008, 12:00:25 AM
A full tang Eklund blade in Yew and Mosaic pins.

The finish is not quite done yet, I pulled it out of the Linseed Oil and Turpentine jar to have a look at it. It has only been in a day and will spend a couple more soaking.

Very nice looking bit of wood and I even like the pins.  Good job.  :cheers:

Thank Yew :D ::)

The scales were cut from a single block but are taking in the oil a bit differently, I'm hoping that the color evens out a little with a longer soak.

Looks really good. The blade design is new to me, any advantages history behind it?
