Would have been a great Leatherman commercial...
on: October 17, 2017, 10:34:35 PM
I'm leaving my apartment, putting on a jacket now as it has finally become cold outside. I look at a shelf with a few different multitools and SAKs on it. I pick the LM KF4 since it fits perfectly in a jacket pocket. I'm waiting for the elevator when the old Spanish woman down the hall opens her door and comes out. She doesn't speak a word of English and I speak only about six words in Spanish. She's a very sweet lady that I have known for years. She motions for me to come into her apartment, apparently she is having a problem. I go in and she had been trying to remove the coaxial cable from the back of her TV but it was on too tight. I take out the KF4 and loosen and remove the cable. She then asks me to cut the cable where it comes out of the wall. It took two bites but I cut it cleanly. We then attach her new streaming box to the back of her TV and she gives me a can of coke as I'm leaving  :D

Thanks folks :salute:
I've been helping her out for years. One time she got locked out so I went up on the roof, climbed down the fire escape, opened a window and unlocked her door from the inside.

Didn't she say "Muchas gracias" or something like that?
Anyways, we Spaniards are quite friendly (as a general norm) and usually thank favors with a coke, or a coffee, when the job is done.
I always do it, and appreciate when someone shows that kind of gratitude.  :salute:

A buddy of mine has the old bumper sticker "I have a Leatherman, I can help" .  I always thought that was a great promo slogan!
