It is so it stands better (with the opened tools the backsprings stand out.)

Yes, André makes wonderful knifes.
One of the best of his profession.

His works are works of art.
I am fascinated by how he does everything by hand, with very simple tools.
And reaches an amazing precision.

I Love his work on SAK's. That model in the picture is drop dead gorgeous.
One of the reasons I commissioned him to build a black Pioneer. Still cheaper then the 2010 LE, and as opposed to only a Damasteel blade, André does all tools in Damascus.

Argh, no!
I mean, it's just Tuesday evening, you know, and I don't deserve a treatment like this.
And then, if it wasn't gorgeous enough, this OUTSTANDING black Pioneer !
No, seriously, that's too much!
If you now pack these beautiful damasteel tools between two copies of the original scales, only in titanium, then I'll just have to cry.
Tomcat,

This picture says it all:

The Damasteel is great. Keeps an edge far longer then normal SAK steel.
I do not EDC it anymore lately, except for special occasion.
