I really liked the other thread by dunc5 and thought I'd try another one. So ... guess what this is?

Is it a metal scriber , does the end/cap come off to reveal a sharp metal point ?

The end cap does come off, but it's not a scriber. Well, I guess it could be used as a scriber, but that's not it's intended purpose.

My guess would be a pen or flashlight.... since you said it could be used as a scriber, I'd lean towards pen.

Winner! It's for repairing eyeglasses. It has both a small phillips along with flat blade screwdriver. It came as part of an eyeglass repair kit with tiny screws, nose piece and lens cleaning cloth. Though I put on a better split ring for my key chain.

Any name brand or logo on it?

No name brand or anything. Got it off E-Bay from a mrcork102 three kits for $4.98 + $2.50 shipping. Wanted it because none of my SAK's have corkscrews, so I couldn't carry their eyeglass screwdriver attachment. But these tiny screwdrivers do come in very handy so this was a nice alternative.

That's pretty cool!

Of course I don't wear glasses and my sunglasses are plastic framed Oakleys with no screws, so I don't have as much use for eyeglass screwdrivers as the next guy, but that's still pretty cool!

...until a young Lady nearby has a pair of busted glasses...

Though my Squirt has also repaired a pair of sunglasses...this tool looks like you could get more control when setting the tiny screws and it has better clearance for turning them.

I like young ladies with broken glasses.  They don't scream and run away as fast!  At least until their glasses are fixed...

Plus, my wife frowns upon me meeting young attractive women.

Growing up I was the only member of my family that didn't wear glasses and so I was pressed into service as the "glasses fixer guy" because I was the only one that could see the teeny screws.  A tool like that growing up would have been invaluable.

I still like to keep an eyeglass screwdriver handy because electronics are getting so small they are using similar sized screws nowadays, but I am not much good at fixing those either!
