Why the Swiss Federal Shield?
on: November 23, 2017, 11:39:57 PM
You know, this sort, maybe flat on the top, more round on the bottom:

Found on the Victorinox Soldier, Wenger SI, the famed Black Beauty, etc, basically all the SAKs used/sold by the Swiss government.

Why do you prefer it to the Victorinox (or Wenger) shield?   :pok:

Apologies if I pictured the wrong shield or called it the wrong name.

Honestly, I prefer the new cross more. My favorite is the simple "+" on the old cross alox.
If the trees blew down the wind and no one was around, would the alphabet song really go backwards?

The old cross IS kinda cool.  :gimme:
I like the new cross too.  :climber:

Still unsure about the federal shield though.
I'm on the lookout for a 1999 Soldier/SI(psst... Got one for sale?  :pok:  ) though, maybe I can make up my mind about the shield after I get one.  :salute:

That shield only appears on the Soldiers... That’s what makes them appealing...

Lol, I keep thinking that the shield on that SAK is a tad small for the size of the SAK.
Very pretty though.  :salute:
