I agree. The tool and watch are both wonderful but that photography shows some real skill.
SVL is legend around these parts with ol’ photograph works

How is it precision wise? Do you have to adjust the time very often?

It was running exactly 15 seconds behind for a few days. It’s a non hacking movement so I thought that was not to bad, recently it’s developed a mind of its own so I began playing with adjustments. every morning I set/compare to the NIST atomic clock, but it’s for fun. If you don’t fiddle with the insides, I’m sure it would be fine for days-weekish. I think that’s part of the quirkinesses of the watch though too.
I recommend to anyone who enjoys watches.

I've been eyeballing them for a bit, legendary watch. A Seiko series was my next until I fell down the rabbit hole and wanted to walk a different road.

Maratac GMT and Expedition Lite, they keep track of each other, time wise, lol.  Watch only weighs 1.15 ounces (titanium).

Used to be this old 1897 Elgin Natl Watch Co but got worried about carrying it everyday.  Special occasions now.

Thanks  I'll probably get a nicer black leather strap.

Realized afterwards that it will be more frequently paired with a black Compact for semi-formal attire. I'll have to take another photo this weekend.  :D

BClogic, haven't you thought about customizing your amphibia? For me, Amphibia = customization. The original bracelet is smurf and the bezel doesn't fit the case. You can choose from many kinds of bezels: with or without insert, brass ones etc. You can try mesh bracelet, zulu or rubber strap. Seethrough caseback is also cool. Tuning amphibias is fun!

For sure! I really like the 710634 so I think I’ll leave it as is. I did put on a Jubilee bracelet the other day. Truthfully didn’t mind the factory bracelet either. I plan on buying another to mod. I get so many ideas looking online at what’s available to mod!
I like your brass bezel!

Before the brass bezels were available, old amphibists had to make them on their own removing the chrome surface with sandpaper. I also did it that way :).
