Before the brass bezels were available, old amphibists had to make them on their own removing the chrome surface with sandpaper. I also did it that way :).
Nice, I prefer that idea

You've never heard of Longines? One of the most traditional Swiss brands!
Unfortunately the watch is not mine, just borrowed from a friend from the watch forum for couple of days.

I didn’t get into watches until past March right before lockdowns and layoffs. I got laid off of work and found some old watches in the house then fell down another rabbit hole I’m a noob by all accounts.

I never try to make my watch and knife match, although I think it's an awesome concept. I've seen some very sexy examples of that on this thread. That being said, here are a couple of pairings that I think work pretty well.

Love the Casio A158 and Pioneer 8)

If any watch snobs sneer over wearing a "Casio", always remind them it's pronounced "Casheo"  :hatsoff:

Enjoying a nice mid-fall evening by the fire with my two carries today, and a little bourbon.

I'm not much of a photographer, but here's a wristie I took this morning for the watch lovers out there.

Aha, the Poor Man's Black Beauty -- excellent, and one of my favorites and frequent carries too!  And I love that Stowa too; I've often been tempted by the modern Laco of the same design.  Very nice!

This holiday season, I am carrying these two winter magic beauties -- the eponymous SAK and a Circula 1955 Handaufzug.  I just got the watch yesterday and am completely head over heels with it.
