I've been clearing out a fair bit of surplus, so my barlow count is going down. Three are definitely stopping though.

Firstly, my buffalo scaled Wostenholme is staying. It's only single bladed, and the backspring is quite soft, so you really need to know your way with a slippie to get the most from this blade safely. That said, I carried that knife exclusively for almost a year when I first got it, and it never let me down.

Next up are my two Case barlows. Some people seem to write off Case as being collectibles rather than users, but the wear on the herringbone scaled one should be a clue that it's done its fair share of pocket time. It's a great knife! The cracked look scales (I've forgotten what they called that pattern) has had less carry time, but that's because I've not wanted to mess up the scrolled bolsters.

One final shot with all three :)

I also have a fourth, another Wostenholme in Rosewood, but I haven't decided what to do with that one yet.

(apologies for the crappy pics  :-[ )

If I was you I'd keep it. The Rosewood and Buffalo would make a great set, to good to break up.

Thanks fellers

I've never used that one, but it would make sense to have a back up, in case anything happened to the buffalo.  :)

As for the grey Case, I've sent them an email asking which series that was from. I think it was black cracked bone (even though it's grey) and the herringbone was called blue herringbone (even though it was never very blue), but it doesn't hurt to ask

Just got in a Kabar barlow.  Compare it side by side with a Camillus,  I'm pretty sure it is a Camillus made knife.

Those 14 Barlows are a SFO for Charlie Campagna. They are proably already sold. You might get one later off the bay for $225 to $400.

I dont think he has them yet. Most are pre-ordered or spoken for. If he has any to put up on his site when they arrive they'll be gone in minutes. His small batches of knives and especially his Barlows are some of the the hottest sellers in the knife world.    :o
