Search Ebay for "Crate Hammer" and see what you think.

I have found several over the years and they are one of the handiest tools that I own probably.

My tool-kit is just about loaded out, and while I'd like a hammer and the Crate Hammer looks useful, I don't think there's too much room left --- but a stubby hammer might get squeezed in one day.  I might add a roll of insulating tape, and maybe some household fuses.  The adjustable wrench looks portable, but the Crunch probably covers a lot of uses. I'm now looking for a slightly bigger torch, that will stand and has a magnetic base --- something like a Manker E02.

Get a small Bic lighter. It's usefull in lots of ways. Also some twine. It's usefull to hold things toghether when you're working on them or to suspend a light or some toolsand leave your hands free.

I have a small kit like this, I've put an electrician's scissors in it. Lots of uses, too. Not just cutting, but for stripping wire, marking wood, plastic or even metal, etc...
