The Midnite Minichamp is starting to grow on me. It pairs well with a larger SAK or MT. I particularly like the package opener, scoopula, pen and LED. It would be perfect if there was an eyeglass driver and not a combo tool and had toothpick/tweezers. For those I add the Waiter. These both  compliment the Spirit X. I think with the exception of the combo tool wire stripper, there is no overlap in tools.

Its hard to beat the mini driver that sits in the corkscrew IMO.  I have a pocket tool chest and none of the drivers work as well for glasses as the mini driver.  The Philips on the MC is hard to replicate with other SAK tools.  None quite do the job as wonderfully as that Philips, IMO.  Of course the 58mm is to me one that demands paring and with your waiter this rounds out your capability nicely.

I have to agree with Aloha, very nice combo, it’s hard to balance weight / overlap / how to carry.

Well thought out! I’m going to give it a try.

Thanks, Aloha and Colt  :hatsoff:  I also keep an Alox Solo in my pocket for food, but I tried that today and found it touch overkill.  I’m likely going to keep my Waiter food safe, which is was before I got the alox, but I do prefer the 93mm blade.  Otherwise I’m enjoying the Minichamp and the Waiter is so slim it’s unnoticeable - to the point where it’s almost ended up in the wash more than once.

The reluctance i have to pairing a SAK with a multitool is the tool redundancy.

The least redundancy I have found so far is when I pair my SAK Classic SD on my keychain with my Leatherman PST on my belt.

That is a good combo that will cover many bases! :tu:
USN 2000-2006

One to four layers of SAK is (usually) best for me.

Agree, the SAK provides the scissors and tweezers that the PST Lacks.

Great carry, Bryan :like:

I always carry a MT and a SAK (most always and Executive)  and rely on it for the scissors even if the MT has them :salute: but Inusuallybdonplenty of tool lap and redundancy  :D
