I just heard on the news and subsequently confirmed online.  Bert Reynolds has passed away.

I grew up thinking he was the absolute coolest guy on the planet, and the Cannonball Run movies, Bandit films and others like Stroker Ace were commonly watched in my house, and even more once we got our first Betamax.

I'm going to miss Bert, and even enjoyed the voice over work he's done lately in shows like Archer.

Smoky and cannonball’s, those were my fav, I found out while buzz trimming the face, and the Mrs was sitting in the other room watching both me and the tv, and of course screams at me, luckily I didn’t take anything off that I didn’t want to take off!

Didn't know much about the man outside of his movies.  I sure enjoyed them growing up.  He was pretty funny in the Striptease.  I liked him in Boogie Nights too.
