Dang, Butch, that's the nicest Executive I've ever seen.   :like:

I betcha who ever sent it thought you should do a 30-day carry challenge with it. And I'd second that motion. Let's see if, after you tote that beast for 30-days, if you don't develop a soft spot for that quirky little knife.

I ever tell you that I did the minimalist challenge with an Executive? Sure did. That was my only knife for 30-days. And I really enjoyed it. Good nail file on that model. So, I betcha that if you added that to your EDC for a month or so, you might sorta come to like the beauty.

Not sure that the rules of order allow you to second your own motion. It will not happen in the next few days but it is a definite possibility in the near future.

Got to convince myself to go without my champs that long.

Well, if you want the Minimalist badge, you'll need to set yer Champs and Fieldmasters and such aside, but you could just slip the Exec into your pocket for 30-days and see how she rides and handles life's little tasks. You might be surprised.

Great pic of the executive.  I actually bought like 5 bags of oranges the other day to fight off the flu season, unfortunately I gave my Executive away. That pic makes me want to get one again:)

Thanks for the congratz everybody and Nix, thank you for the knife. I have decided that I will not be going for a badge, at least not soon. But I did carry it & used it on several small tasks around the house yesterday. It is a very impressive little package. A very well designed tool, but then that is what the Swiss do.
Now I am getting ready to head for the supermarket, I'm thinking I just might pick up an orange or two, got a tool I want to try out. :like:

You know, Butch, you now qualify for a big ol' comfy armchair in the Executive Lounge.

And don't worry about the badge. Just keep the Exec in yer pocket for a while and just see if it doesn't manage to earn it's keep in your daily carry routine.  :pok:

Thought I would give you an update before letting this thread die of natural causes. I have carried the executive every day since I got it. I like the little scamp, a lot. So much that I bought muself a minichamp and carried it too. Not sure which I like the best but as small as they both are I could add both to my all time EDC and never notice. Thank you SAK fairy (Nix ) I will consider it a keeper.
