So, just spent the weekend assembling a new twin bed for our youngest and painting our third bedroom for the babies on the way.

Yes, that's right, babIES!!   :ahhh

Sometime in April (if all continues to go well), we will bring the total number of gustophersmoblets up to 4. Currently have a 4 and 2 year old.

Please, pray for me...  :o

Thanks, everyone!

When we found out, it was one of those surreal moments, basically like what you'd see on TV.  The Dr was doing the ultrasound, and it was the standard, "here's your baby, that's the head, and the torso....well, what do we have here?" At that point he shows us baby #2.  Then, he says, "well lets look around and see if there are any more." At that point I'm thinking, "I know you're only the messenger, but if you find another baby in there, I may not be responsible for what happens next..." ;)

Me, being the loving father and doting husband that I am ( >:D), immediately thought of my wife: "How is she ever going to go to the grocery on her own again?!?"  Which was followed quickly by: "How do you get 4 kids, 5 and under, in and out of a van in less than 30 minutes any time you want to go somewhere?!?"  :twak:

We later found out its a boy and a girl, which does complicate things a bit since we have a small sized 3 bedroom house. With small bedrooms and 3 girls and a boy, we will eventually need to look for another house.  A few years in the future yet, but still.

Fortunately, so far everyone has been healthy and things seem to be going well.  So, housing and logistics aside, I've come to grips with it and am finding the humor in it all (hopefully it shows in this post, and doesn't come off as bitter!)

Congrats to you all.  This is exciting.  Sure they'll be "those" days but they'll pale in comparison to the most amazing chapters in your life.  In all your lives.  What I tell eveyone is, dont get too ahead of yourself.  It will go fast and you'll be like of lot of us, kids in college and hoping to spend time with them.

Wise words and very true. Next month I'll have a five year old, and it's already like, "where the smurf did the time go?"

Mom and dads wise words will in many ways come to pass over time.  You both, you all, will be just fine. 

A woman I know raised her 5 kids in a 3 bd rm 1 bath home.  They made it work and while they were all boys they made it work.  She's now 94 and still in that home.  Its about 1000 sq ft and they all have the best of memories there.
