All three blades have different profiles to the Buck. I have photos, but I'm planning to do a mini review on the Ganzo

Is the Ganzo a three-spring knife as well?  Buck Stockmen are a bit unusual in that respect in my experience......

Here is a pic of a couple slim Opinels.
Although I prefer an 8 or 9 for normal use these are pretty neat.
These are no. 10's, I would like to get one of the larger ones like a 13 just for fun.

Very cool! Never seen that one before. I used to have a camo/black Military, but I traded it off because I couldn't carry it tip up.

The CPM-CruWear Military came out last fall. I use to be a tip up only type but the C36 and C07 broke me of that. I dont change very often from tip up or down on my primary knife as that can led to deployment problems. I use enough band-aids as it is.     :D

I had a broken knife blade and used it to make a friction folder. I adjusted the tang and the kick so that it opens nicely and closes without the blade touching the lauminium handles. It can be opened by pinching the blade

The handles are aluminium, (higonokami style) and are a bit rough as I did not want to spend too much time making them look nice.

Ideally I would have used a piece og thick synthetic material.  This is how most folding knives were made a few decades ago, using broken blades from imported small kitchen knives and a plastic or wooden handle (I only had some metal at the time)

Surprisingly solid and adjustable with a hammer and pliers.

I fancied one of those Japanese carpenters knives, but before I get one, what stops a friction folder opening in your pocket?

What he said   :D

Actually these higonokami folders are quite hard to open (unlike e.g. a Svord peasant knife). They are harder to open than most locking knives, so they are not likely to open accidentally.

You can also adjust the force required to open them by taping the pin with a hammer, to tighten the knife
