I just found this in the back of a box.  I don't know how I hadn't see it for a while .  So the question is, how big is yours?  ;)

Not a 58mm SAK for scale

That's 8 inches not CM

In hand

I'm not compensating I'm complementing.  :D

Yeah but it isn't how big it is that matters, it's how you use it. Or so I'm told ;)

So that's basically a sword then Gareth?

I should have said the it is simply know as a Navaja, a traditional form of Spanish knife.  Often associated with Gypsies, Bandits and the Sevillian region.

And no, it's not a sword but I might have a few of them too.

"navaja" really? then now i know from where the name comes, thats how we refer to SAK "navajas suizas" or just "navaja" to generic knives when theyre not for food preparing purposes

I see that word (Navaja) all the time whilst trawling ebay for Leatherman gear. I'm embarrassed to say I thought it meant "new" or something.

Example.

I think navaja has simply come to translate to "folding knife".  So mine is just a traditional navaja.  Just to add to the nerdiness I can tell you that the native American tribe know as the Navajo were called that by Spanish settlers and were dubbed "people of the knife" or Navajo.

I prefer the partially serrated blades tbh, but that one is what was for sale, so I thought, why not?

Solid!

Absolutely no play at all. I'm impressed at the price.

In truth, it's a knife I probably won't use much as it's a bit big, but I wanted to try a Spyderco and see what the difference was compared to the Byrd series.

Tbh, I can probably stop looking since GG sent me that Mini Griptilian - it is absolutely perfect for me that one.

That is a very budget one though and IMO not the best example of a Spyderco.  Go buy a few more and if you don't like them, send them my way.  :D
