Figured I'd bump this, even though it's a little old. Got my 84mms back out, and I figured I'd show them off with something about equally hard to find--figures produced by Workshop Toys. They are not very desirable, which means that if you wait, they're cheap.  MSRP was $5 each for a single figure, and can still be had for $10 each now (so roughly the same, inflation-adjusted)

84mms are rare as hen's teeth, but I was lucky in both cases--I have less than $50 (counting warranty repairs on the Craftsman too) in them, and while I hate carrying them due to rarity, nothing matches in weight and pocketability.

Workshop Toys (previously, Milo's Workshop dating to at least Y2K) was founded in 2003, and originally produced a range of figures for the LucasArts title Gladius--and it seems that didn't get off the ground, and only two of the figures were produced.  In 2004, they introduced a historical series, beginning with Western and Samurai    I've also seen references to WWI and Peter Rabbit figures--to this date, I haven't found a single one.  While the website remained active until at least 2008 or so according to the Wayback Machine, the State of Oregon's corporate records say the trademarks were canceled in January 2005. So, these figures were likely only produced a year, and many of the ones listed on the site were canceled. I have no idea how they were originally sold, but from what  I'm seeing offered for sale, they must have never been sold through large retailers--my guess is only direct.

So far, my only solid link has been the archived version of their webpage. '

https://web.archive.org/web/20040923041720/http://workshoptoys.com/

I opened both of these as the boxes were in bad shape--crushed, severely scuffed clear plastic, and nasty.

I have rarely found anything more than the cowgirl for sale. The other two I occasionally see is two sharpshooters. Yet, several cowboys, Native Americans, and cattle have been shownon the site.

I FINALLY found the horse the mounted cowboy and cowgirl were designed to be used with, and I also will have a cowgirl I can keep boxed. I'll be keeping the horse boxed too, since these are hard to find. Heck, for a long time, I didn't even think the horse was ever made.

While based on the "Old West" the cowgirl is strangely modern--wearing a Boss of the Plains, a purple Western shirt, a green vest, jeans, a brown belt, and driving mocs (as opposed to boots, strangely). I am wondering if the green vest is a homage to a college rodeo team.

She seems a little big mounted on a Schleich horse--which is said to be in the 1:20 range. Thus, I am guessing she's a 1:16 figure. SInce I'm not opening the horse that was sold alongside these--Little Buster's horse and tack set should do just fine--as it's also 1:16.

I presume the pose is for her to be throwing the rope while steadying herself on the saddlehorn.

At the time I bought the cowgirl, buying a lot of two figures was cheaper than just buying the cowgirl on her own--and the terrible boxes meant I could open them.

I only collect Western figures, but I am very impressed by the level of detail on the Samurai.

The short sword is also present, sheathed under the robes.

Google Lens tells me the kanji character on the back translates to "Son".

That sounds like a proper quest Cody and another little nugget of a backstory. Well worth resurrecting the thread for it. Selling the cowgirl without her horse, in that pose, seems a bit shortsighted.
