Not totally chili but still kinda falls under the category, maybe?
The Mrs and I were trying to come up with a few quick and easy meals, a few years back when we were in Connecticut and we lost power for a week we only had our camp stove and came up with a few things,
1, speggs, diced spam mixed in scrambled eggs, quick, easy, and cheap,
2, spac, diced spam mixed in you guessed it mac n cheese,
There was something else but I don’t remember, anyway, today we made a simple and cheap mix up two boxes of mac n cheese and a can of chili, of course throw in a few extra seasonings and a handful of shredded Mexican cheese, I must say it’s not amazing, but for a cheap easy fix, it’s heavy so very filling and not too bad! As you can see I cleaned my plate!

Thanks, like I said it wasn’t to bad, and cheap! The only thing I would have changed is the ratio, this was two boxes of Mac n cheese to one can of chili, I think the Mrs was wrong and it would have been better at 2 to 2 but shhh,, don’t tell her I said so! :whistle:

I humbly submit a picture of my pork chili verde with northern beans:



I typically make this with a boston butt, tomatillos, and enough jalapenos and habaneros to blow your head off, but it has been a few years and I can not take that amount of heat these days without grave intestinal repercussions  :ahhh. This is a (relatively) quick version using sirloin chops, canned green chilis, and store bought salsa verde. It is about 90% as good as the made from scratch version, but only took about 2 hours to make as opposed to 4 hours.

No sir buddy, but goulash is hard to top!  I threw together a standard red chili yesterday and had a few bowls.  I just can't resist the stuff!  Mrs. R doesn't understand the attraction I have to it  :rofl:
