So since I am going to miss my own deadline, it is no reason to make you, contestants, wait any longer. But, and there is always a but, firstly I really want to thank the selection assistance “committee”, namely Mechanical and Pablo O’Brien.


Secondly, a big thank you to all of the members for their entries, I realize and appreciate all of the efforts, deep thinking, soul searching that went into all of the entries.


Although I have not seen or handled the actual creation from Syph007 (Robert Lessard) I have several hi-res pictures from Robert. Some blow by blow assembly pics and of course the final product.


So! After some consultation with the committee I have chosen the winning entry. Yessiree…someone has been chosen. Looking back at the several posts, I changed my mind many many times. Even Robert’s entry was considered…but I figured the last thing Syph007 needed is another Alox to strip apart…thinking of your well being Robert.


The winning entry does relate to Robert’s work, the Naval environment in the early days of my career lamping out ships, my love of “raw” metals for EDC. The winning entry also brought me back to my early rock/blues days.

That name, Copperhead, just seemed so fitting after seeing the photos. I seem to create nicknames for a lot of things actually, but I am humbled to have picked an agreeable one amidst all the other great contributions. This was definitely a fun thread to follow!  :cheers:
