Super Classic SD
on: November 16, 2008, 12:07:53 AM
Here is my latest.  My wife who once said she liked the idea of the tools on the classic but thought it was too small to be really handy inspired this one.  With that in mind I pulled apart a Ranger (Thanks NKB :tu:) and put together this.  I was especially happy that I managed to get the screwdriver on the spine.

:)

Very nice. Can a 84mm file (cadet style) be fitted instead of the full length one opposite the main blade? thus making it a layer thinner. Was the small screwdriver placed instead of the hook or is it part of the file backspring?

The small driver is on the back of the file layer.  The file normally has the small chisel on the back but the driver takes no modification to replace it.  As to the 84mm file I'm not sure if it could, certainly you would have to drill out the pin hole to go over the 2.5mm pin (84mm knives use 2.25mm pins for the pivot) other than that it might work.  Nice idea though.
