I wish it would hit 60°s heck I’d be happy with 50°s, I gotta big bday party next Sat that we’re having and it’s a bbq cook out, yet it looks like me and the little guy are going to be the only two outside running the grill while everyone else is inside warm and also dry!

Well what a nice subject to discuss, one of my favourites - Nearly as good as multitools  ;)   8)   :tu:

I'm a real single malt fan - Not so keen on bourbon or Irish whiskey - But KK has definitely made me want to try Metaxa!!  :tu:
Lots of good ones already mentioned

But for me my favourites are the Islay malts:
Laphroig; Lagavuilin; Ardbeg; Bowmore
These are the peaty, firey malts that blast your taste buds, and take their flavour from the land and the sea of their origin

I also like some of the smoother ones. Macallen, Highland Park, The Singleton, Dahlwhinnie to name a few .....

For those who don't know - Islay (pronounced Eye-la) is a tiny island off the South-West cost of Scotland - You can see the North coast of Ireland, which is only a few miles away. It's wild, stunningly beautiful, with some amazing bird life ..... and famously, about eight distilleries - Just to the North is Jura - another beautiful, remote, but very dfferent mountainous island, which also produces a very nice dram, named after the island - George Orwell had a house there and loved the place.

Wow - Here's something I never realised before - The first four letters of island are the same as those of Islay  ..... and - when spoken they give the correct pronounciation of Islay   :D   :o

My favorite Scotch or Bourbon is whichever brand someone else gives me.  They just taste so much better when I don't pay for it.
