I have endless a few SAK wants, but limited SAK funds, so I've narrowed down my list to my 10 single most wanted SAKs at this time.

Horseshoe Nail Knife

I hope you finish off your list FB - You have done well !  :D   ...  I am not expecting to finish mine !!!    :o

The evolution diagram is very funny ..... and very true !!
 - Anyone got one for sale  ???   :pok:   pretty please   :D  - I have never see one -
Were those scales just on the Climber? Or several models ???

OK I have two in the list - Also not expecting to get this one

I guess for me I'd love to have a model 1890 to complete my collection of soldier SAKs.  I wouldn't even be picky as to manufacturer.

I don’t have 10, and my most wanted are the ones I already own.

1) Swisschamp
2) Explorer Plus
3) Craftsman
4) Super Tinker
5) Deluxe Tinker
6) Rambler
7) Champion Plus
8) Compact

Does the Swiss Card count #9

Actually, I own all my grails too.  A couple Yeomen, a few Voyageurs (both red and silver), a Black Beauty, numerous BYSAKs, and the first SAK I ever bought with my own money, an 84 mm Tinker (ca. 1978).

This is why I never complain about Victorinox hooking me like a drug pusher on the annual Alox LE's.   And also why I've taken to collecting the Soldiers from 1921 to present day.

Cheers to SAK collecting, in whatever form it takes!

IIRC, you own the user damascus pioneer, correct?  That would be my grail, user and all.

You know, I forgot about that!  Yes, I have a 2010 Damascus Pioneer, and also a Fischer Pioneer that were both grails I didn't think I'd ever find.

Would love a 2010 Pioneer in Damascus, but I did give up on that one, at least for now.

Nice ones dmattaponi!  :hatsoff:

I have several of my top 10 already, including 2 BYSAKs, a gold Executive and Ambassador, an Alumnus, a red OC Pioneer, my dad's BYSAK (44) and a Cadet X that I built. There some other grails I'm still hoping to find though.

Number one on my list is a Companion (Executive) with exposed rivets and a bail. Next, as a former bosun's mate I would love to get my hands on an Alox Seaman. I do have my almost 40 year old, US Navy issued Camilus with a sheeps foot blade and locking marlinespike, but it's not the same as a Victorinox. I'd also really like to find a Voyageur, and either a Huntsman Small or an Artisan.

Hmmm ..... I am slowly realising that I might have a grail list

1) Horseshoe Nail Knife Huntsman
2) 'The Essential Tool for Generations' Climber
3) The Alinghi Rescue Knife - The one with the strap cutter built into the frame
4) A Wenger Minathor or SGT gas chromatography model
5) A Kantonmesser from 1998 > 2003 - The ones with the marquetry
6) Any old Officer's Knife with exposed rivets and the old awl

But the thing is I am not searching for my Holy Grails - As these are all extremely rare
And if ever somehow I did spot one - I would not be able to afford it :(
- Even the old Officer's knives are crazy expensive these days ($150+ ??? )
I really, really wish I had bought a Minathor in 2013 - (when my SAK hobby {as opposed to EDC} started)  :twak:
As then they were list price at around $100
Now they seem to add a nought to that!!

PS And if anyone does not know the models above ... go and check them out in SAKWiki - They are just amazing!!

I guess for me I'd love to have a model 1890 to complete my collection of soldier SAKs.  I wouldn't even be picky as to manufacturer.

That'd probably be number 1 for me too Myron  :iagree:

I've also been lucky enough to get most of my holy grail SAKs, a Black Beauty a while ago, and more recently the 2015 LE Cadet to complete the set

I'd be keen to get a red ribbed alox cadet to go with my silver ones and certainly wouldn't say no to a voyageur

Variant 1 of the 1908 Soldier is high on the list, I'm not sure how rare they are compared to the other variants, but it's always very difficult to tell them apart in ebay listings where i've sourced my otthers from

https://www.couteaux-du-soldat-suisse.ch/J01/index.php/en/les-couteaux-du-soldat/les-modeles-1908

I enjoy the annual LE PX's and look forward to some different types of alox, like the Winter LE PX and cadet from a few years ago
