Great review. I would prefer to have more tools than AO blades. Love those pliers though.

Just got an email from sog saying it's ready to ship, and if order before Nov 30 they'll throw in two day shipping and engraving free.

The main blade is not chisel grind (thank god) and the serrated blade is like that on the Wave.

Hope that helps Hawkchucker

Guess I should have mentioned earlier; these are FAR AND AWAY the best knife blades SOG has ever put on a multitool. No previous ones even come close.

How does the lock work exactly? So slide the stud down to release blade from open position, and the slider behind is to lock the blade in closed position?

Yes, exactly that.

Funny now that you make me think about it that way. Each blade has two locks; one to lock it open, and another to lock it closed.

I'm trying to imagine close the blade one handed, seems kind awkward. I never use the safety lock on my assisted knife thou.

Yah, its a bit awkward to close one-handed. But after doing it a couple times my fingers got trained and it wasn't bad.

Ok here is what I got back:

"David,

The first few tools shipped out with saws and we had originally spec’d them with the saw.  After the very first production run we switched to the file.  So now all PowerAssist tools will have the file instead of the saw.  I’ll need to redo the video with the file version and change the website.

Chris"

Wow, thanks Dave, and thanks for the response Chris! :)

Personally I use a file MUCH more than I use a saw.
