Day 13:
Removed the screws on an MT drawer and added some glue to the joint. Then put the screws back in.

Very MT related use  ;)  :like:

I expect little actual use today so I'll start Day 26 with a combo shot featuring, as guest star, the Victorinox/D_T Cobalt Constructor. Disclaimer: if any MT is to find use today the challenge obliges me to try out the Rebar first, of course.

Don't you think so too G-Man?  :pok: :pok:

Nah. Handle folded back is the way. :pok: :D

Seriously, for most cutting tasks I will be using the Rebar with handles closed (as directed) and only use it with the second handle folded back when I need to cut on a flat surface(which should reduce danger by having a surface to cut on). I am not just jousting MTs blades about anymore. I usually learn a lesson the first time around.

Nice photo, by the way, Douglas. And that Boy Scout Alox is awesome. I didn't even know they ever made a Scout Alox. I have a 2003 Boy Scouts Huntsman, but ALOX is a different echelon of quality. :)

G-Man I just couldn't help myself Matt's photo was just to GOOD.
So seriously how's the cut healing up?  Hope as fast as my fish hook did.  I was really surprised how quickly that healed up, not even a scar.

Thank you, Douglas!
The skin is healing well, but I'm still having trouble with extending the finger out, because of the bone gouge. That will be fine though.  :)

So, with your injury, you really got off the hook? :D

Seriously, it is good you didn't pluck a tendon, or something. I'm relieved it has healed properly!

Good to hear you guys are healing up well - fish hooks and Rebars bite! So far my Rebars haven't had a go at me, but I know I only have to give them the chance :D. Mostly they're pretty cuddly though.

Nice, D_T! I really like those color contrast customs! Best part. You get two, just with transposed contrast. :like:

Day 15:
Friend asked me to change the battery in his Seiko. Rebar made quick work of popping the band-pin out, unscrewing the back, and screwing the back on after battery installed. I have several watch case wrenches, but the MT did a fantastic job on the Seiko case back. :)
Note: time is set now, but forgot to set date for photo..haha

While out of town at Danni's family reunion the Rebar had a little reunion of it's own.

We were perusing pawn shops and a Wingman came down from the clouds for under $10 and was reunited with it's cousin Rebar.

I can't see the photo, Douglas. :ahhh
Congratulations on the Wingman. $10 is a great price for it. I paid $20 each(new on sale) for the ones I bought and felt they were worth every penny of that. The scissors feel a little flimsy, and inside tools don't lock, but for an average $30, it is hard to beat, especially being U.S.A made and polished. :)

P.S. make sure to oil treat the insides, tools, and plier head. The steel is strong, but has a tendancy to spot up without an oil treatment.

Edit: thanks for fixing the link! Looks like it is in good condition!  :tu:

Day 28

Getting close to the end of the challenge. Rebar VX was busy today. Not in pics, use of the ruler for measuring the thickness of a parasol stem for acquisition of a replacement, after failure to perform repairs on the old one - not the Rebar's fault as that managed to take off the cover alright, see pic #2, but mine.
