Can't seem to find a price on that page?
Completely understand Poncho!I actualy got mine cheaper then what they retailed for back in the days.On top of that I got a bunch of freebies with it, like 2 display stands, a wooden wall sign, a Victorinox toy truck, a Wenger Bayonet and a Classic SD with inlayed diamond.
From what I can find online:By hand, in the original workshop from Carl Elsener...Don't know if it's true, but I hope it is!
Show us your goodies !!!!!
I knew we could count on you! That makes... 4?5 if we count the original 1890 one...There's got to be more members with one!
<3!!
Got it relatively cheap because the case went bad over the years due IMHO to poor design, materials, and fabrication (probably a sub-contractor)Filed a complaint with Vic Ibach, waiting for the outcome.Meanwhile, the knife itself is brilliant and makes a great EDC.
My case is deteriorating too...
Class action gegen Victorinox ? Press-fit of the metal hinges into cheapo wood did not work in the long runInside lid made a bit too big - rubbed the lining off. We'll see what Victorinox has to say about that. Mech, what is the damage on yours ?
Dunno which one to EDC ?
I'm just experiencing some of the surface materials letting off little chips out of nowhere. As if the lining is disintegrating in thin air.
you mean the grey stuff from the lining ? Go check to the posts about the green lining on the Wenger Heritage. Same problem I think.

Another post turned blanc...
So the knife has lifetime warranty, but the box does not?
