I´m a generalist too, but not like Chako. Knives only for me, and not that many.

Mainly interested in SAKs, gentleman´s folders, hunting folders, and gardening tools.

I collect the following stuff:
- tools I like
- tools that are rare
- If I can get a good deal

I collect Vic, Wenger, LM, Gerber, Sog, Schrade etc.
I like Wenger the most - especially the blackout series, the titanium line, the left handed knives and the softtouch series.

 :like:

And the Wenger Blackout and Titanium lines are really cool!

👍

No surprise to many I'm sure
But I collect the 130mm Wenger Rangers
I specifically went after the Ranger models because the production run was only a couple of years compared to the more traditional 85mm which has spanned decades.

However, due to Wenger creating sets which combined both 130mm Rangers and 85mm I.e Mike Horn, Alinghi, Scouts, Patagonia etc etc not to mention the Evowoods, Realwoods, Snows, Blazes....it has certainly kept me on my toes.

This is the only picture I currently have of my Rangers, it's not recent as there are possibly 2 dozen Rangers missing from the shot that were added later.

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

It was pretty tough going buying these back then. But now I have them in my collection I'm glad I stuck at it. But it's put me off collecting anything else these days

To answer my own question, I do have a couple of themes in my collection.

Last but not least I collect models that were issued to the Swiss Army (mainly 111mm).

In the past I used to collect the 111mm military issued models from all over the world, but that became too expensive. So I decided to focus on Swiss issues only, sold most the others and used the money to focus on the other parts of the collection.

I saw a Soldier 08 with the peace support logo recently, is that something rare enough to pique your interest?
