All this talk and no one mentions the one multi tool that can handle this issue without blinking.....

Gentleman, you need a Plierench!  Up to three inches with the larger jaw.  Great gripping regardless of the angle.

Problem solved!

Plierwrench isn't a multitool.

I respectfully disagree.  :)

If you consider all the jaws, Plierenches can handle pipes, nuts, bolts and any number of other items.  It has a built in wirecutter and one handle is a screwdriver.  Other jaws allow users to make springs and cut pipe.  I believe that fits the definition of Multi Tool, but I'm a little biased.  :D

Yadda yadda yadda..plierwrench...yadda yadda yadda. :pok: :D

Seriously though, I agree on it being a "multi tool", but only in the sense that it is a tool that CAN serve multiple purposes.

Sorry,
I was thinking of something else, the modern channel lock type of plier wrench.

Charles.

The 1921A and 1922B versions of the Plierench came with a sheath that had a belt loop.  Joseph Eifel, the inventor, advertised that a man could stand on a corner and earn money fixing passing cars and other odd jobs.  Of course, he was prone to exaggeration.  :D
