okay, so I am wondering which tool to get myself for christmas. I would like a SOG tool with compound leverage that would be great for fishing/camping outings. any suggestions? I am already looking at the PowerAssist.

I actually love my Origan Power lock. Still find them on the shelves at lowes for a good price, and they are a fantastic piece of kit. Only thing wrong with them is the Chisle grind on the main blade. The Powerassist however is also cool so buy them both. Have you looked into the reviews on the site?

well, I'm not exactly made of money, and the powerassist alone was pushing my budget. anything under $50 is a miracle, as long as it has the features i'm looking for.

I just bought a SOG S60 powerlock off amazon.com (new) for $53.
It's really nice and definately worth a look.
