LM accessory mod
on: November 27, 2008, 07:19:10 PM
Anyone familiar with the lanyard ring for the wave, surge, charge, etc.? Well, here's an idea for a mod. Hack off a hex bit driver from your favorite tool and weld it to your lanyard ring. Now you have a beheaded favorite from the tool box and an even more versatile wave, charge, surge, etc.

Check this out; easier, more modular, and you get to keep both your lanyard ring and favorite tool... :) Or go with the LM UTA...

nope, leatherman sells a little extension for the wave, charges, and surge bit drivers that also converts it into a hex driver. Google leatherman bit driver extension.

yeah, i'm giving my dad a leatherman kit that retails at more than my entire multi-tool collection (pretty wimpy, i'll admit).

hey, I found a further hack. I was experimenting with a hex bit, when I discovered that a binder clip holds the bit perfectly and securely (the small ones). Try welding one of those onto a lanyard ring, and spare your toolbox.
