Sorry to learn of your situation.

I was 54 the first time, then after a year requested I come back.  Fixed issues, then found new buyer and did again to me.

Found new job, worked 7+ years, then retired, (sort of turned the tables on that owner)..

Good luck going forward.  Remember... it is not you, it is them!!!!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

I'm the wrong colour for the politics of the day, I was on the Affirmative Action Committee and the Previously Advantaged Male representative, so I understand how much of burden we are on a company as  the AA stats are concerned.

I ended up at this job after a Voluntary Separation process at the mine.....where the union dictated who must go, and I ended up at the mine following a retrenchment....company closed down.

This leaves me with no relevant qualifications, and now 4 years of experience in a specific  industry which is zero use elsewhere.....

It would seem, and I'm not joking, that I'll be driving a cattle truck in the near future.
