Shipped and sold by Amazon. All my other SAKs came in a small grey box.

You might be able to scan the barcode using a free download app. Just do a search in the App Store.

Of course it’s possible that the barcode is correct and stuck on a repurposed Packaging.

But if the barcode reads Tampons or something then you have an answer 😜

It is normal.

The Classics in the fishbowl-like bulk containers you’ll see at some retail outlets come packaged like this.

(Image removed from quote.)

I bought the same color Classic SD around 2 years ago and it came in a small gray box.

My limited edition "animal adventure" classic I got from Massdrop came in a small gray box as well  :hatsoff:

The limited edition Classics come packaged like that, here, Wspeed. Sometimes the regular versions, too.

But a number of Sporting goods and Hardware stores here have small 'fishbowl' containers at the checkout counters where a variety of Classics in multiple bright colors come packaged as the OP pictured.

Most (90%) of mine came in the traditional grey boxes. I have some special editions that have their own more elaborated card box, some just in the black plastic sleeve, some in the brownish red hard plastic boxes.

Like this:

I have only one in a blister, AFAIK.

It's a combo Recruit plus this flashlight:

Ok, so for Classics I only have the grey boxes, black pouches and the brownish red hard plastic boxes.

Oh my!

Mechanickal, look at me, this is serious. The 58 and 74mm SAK's are the vastly under estimated mighty mites of all Sakdom. They need to be used, and used often. They are capable of doing most of the eery day pocket knife jobs, plus snipping with scissors, screwing with he SD tip of the nail file, and the tweezers make a decent roach clip. And even grandmothers are not bothered by their presence.

I'll ask the TSA lot lady next time I'm there.

She never has a Minichamp in stock longer then a week though...

I was thinking of getting one in red alox...

Several years ago, one of the knife magazines called the Victorinox classic the worlds most popular pocket knife by sales volumes. They really are literally everywhere.
