Hi everyone I really the combination of shiny and matte finish side by side, so today I tried to mask some parts of the scales and rub the others with a fine abrasive pad. Nothing difficult. It’s just a test but I think I like the result. Maybe in the future I will try more complex way to do it Who tried that? It would be nice to see what you have Cheers
Hello everyone and thanks againhere is how i did it:First of all i cut the tape using the knife (not really 100% precise, but good enough and quick. Of course you can skip this if you have a narrow tape). I just hold the knife against the table and rolled the tape on it:(Image removed from quote.)Then i cut small stripes and applied them on the scale (of corse in the pics the scales are already "done", as i did them yesterday and the pics are from now):(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)I applied other stripes following the first one and then i removed them alternatively(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)Then i just masked the other parts to not ruin them and i rubbed the knife with this pad (i can't rememnber the name but i can find it. It's a bit too rough probably (i use it to make the back of guitar necks more matte and smooth and easier to play), but it's what i had at the moment.(Image removed from quote.)Hope that's clear
