Well, I might be answering my own question soon. Just bought this one:

LEXMAN 1200LM-360LM (€14.99)

This thing is a beast! Goes from 18cm to 20cm, using the zoom. Built like a tank. Feels strong enough to be used for battoning!
 :twak: :twak:

I'm going to look for some rechargeable batteries for it and will let you know how it performs after some use.

  :salute:

Looking at price and advertised power, no worries, the LED will be a vomiting cold white with green tint and awful corona :(
and poor battery-life with 4AA

Batoning aid it is, then!

I was just looking for a strong light to keep in my car. Probably won't get much use, unless it's not that bad and then I'll keep it around the house. I'll let you guys know when I test it.

I won't say I don't keep a (very) bad flashlight in the car  :pok:
(along with a good one, but the bad one has a specific purpose : being handed to anybody that need something to see in the dark without worrying of not getting it back )

I recently picked up a new Reylight Pineapple Mini.

I think the Pineapple Mini is one of my favorite lights and the colors on this one are great.  It packs a lot of brightness for its size especially if using a 10440, but also works nicely with AAA primary or NiMh.  The metal tailswitch is a little strange at first but nice once you get use to it.

I also recently added an Olight Gober Safety Night Light off a special where you only had to pay shipping.  It goes nicely on my dog walking bag.

:like: Those safety lights are such nice items to have.  We have a few dog people here who have them on their dog collars.  They also have them on themselves.  We don't have a lot of street light in my area and it gets pretty dark.

That is an awesome looking Reylight

:iagree:

I have one of these Gobers myself, although I'd not trust it on a dog collar - Too easily knocked off.
We have a set of Orbiloc ones for our pups, in different colours so I can see who is where!

Have a replacement flashlight coming in the mail along with a couple of modification parts.

Best EDC Tactical light there is in my opinion.

My new EDC, Fenix PD25R.
Nice.  I used a PD25 on a couple deployments.  They are great lights.  My only complaint is the led, I wish they would make some lights with warmer HiCri options.

I know what you mean.  A neutral/warm tint isn't 100% necessary for me, but I'm a lot less likely to buy a light that is CW.

Write the post above the end of May.

The light I was talking about FINALLY arrived.

Surefire E2T MV Tactician. Say that three times fast.

Primarily used as a “tactical” light. The tail button is momentary only so no accidental clicking the light on and giving up your location.

Excellent wall of light and carries well due to how narrow it is.

Clip it come with is head up only and leaves pretty much the whole head out of the pocket. Not a fan.

Picked up a Lumens Factory deep carry clip that attaches at the very end of the light.

Yeah, it's a solitaire Led from a few years ago, I gave it to my grandparents until I replaced it with a Fenix LD02 first gen... the don't regret the swap : they kept losing the head of the solitaire trying to light it up....

This little piece of pocketable madness.
Astrolux EA04 with 4x HP50 emitters wearing the 26350 tube and cell. A (brief) turbo output of a claimed 12,000 lumens. Actual output lumens is quite a bit lower with the 26350 cell being unable provide enough amps for Turbo. But it's still enough to make me giggle every time I fire it up.
Makes flashlight normies say things like "WHAT THE HELL?" and such.
Using the long body tube and a high current 26650 or 21700 cell and the time limit for turbo mode is more like, how long can you hold on to it before it gets too hot. Not as bad as another light I have, but it makes a great little hand warmer.

Well, having lost yet another Olight Perun Mini (this time thanks to the guy who borrowed it off me and then left it in the customer's car), I saw Amazon had a deal on this:

20240406_182652.jpg
* 20240406_182652.jpg (Filesize: 135.01 KB)

Sofirm SC33.
Supposedly outputs over 5,000lm, but is more like 3500, I think.
Still bright enough to make fellow torch fans somewhat jealous. Runs off a 21700, has USB-C charging, e-switch tail cap, crenellated bezel ring (removable), comes with all the expected accessories. Lovely grip texture, very good UI.

135mm long and just over 32mm wide, it's thin and smooth enough to still fit my UF Pro knife pocket for use as a heavy calibre daily carry. The 21700 cell makes a lot of difference to the feel, though. If they made a twin-cell extension for it, it would be the size of a lightsaber!

Arkfeld is a cracking light  :tu:

For what it's worth I've never had it come on whilst having it in my pocket for fitness walks, I'm pretty sure the switching ring would prevent most accidental activations. Refreshing to see someone willing to use lock out though!

We were referring to the Olight Arkfeld, which is an excellent light.  I have been carrying 2 versions of it for about 2 years - mostly recently the Pro version that has white light, UV and a laser.

I was concerned about accidental pocket activation.  Well, it has happened a few times, resulting my the plastic lens melting. For the past few days, I have smelled something burning.  Some times in the kitchen, other times in the basement.  I walked around the house looking for any signs of an electrical fire.  I finally figured out that the smell was emanating from the light.

I purchased it from Olightstore.com, which adds a lifetime warranty to all products and has superior customer service.  They are sending me a new light, and a shipping label to return the old one.

The light really, really needs a glass lens, or some thermal protection to shut the light off.  Or both.  So, reluctantly, I'll be switching my EDC to something else.  Candidates include the Nitecore EDC 27, Olight SR2 Baton II and Baton 3 Pro Max.  I prefer an EDC with the capability of high output, plus a strobe.

Just started test driving it this afternoon.  I'm impressed that the magnet can hold this much weight.  My one concern right now is that there doesn't seem to be a way to replace the battery once it quits taking a charge.  This, however, did not occur to me until I had it in my grubby hands.

You just unscrew it, it takes a 10180 like basically all other keychain lights this size so you can easily swap it out if it conks out on you down the road.
