MinaMino Hori-Hori knife.
on: November 05, 2024, 04:34:28 AM
I like weird blades and once seen, I knew I had to have this Hori-Hori knife in my collection. The real leather sheath is very nice and feels like it was handmade by a craftsman. The knife is surprisingly robust and heavy. The blade has a trowel shape with markings on the one side. You get a serrated side and a plain edge, both sharp out of the box. This is a fairly versatile knife that would be good on multiple task including gardening which is what it is designed for. There is even a rope cutter/bottle opener built in. I found this off of Amazon.ca. The seller even included a nice double ended diamond hone.

Looks  great!

This is the one I have.  Made by MAC Coltellerie in Italy for AM Leonard. Not as nice, but it  can take a beating. I don't really use mine for planting--instead, I carry it  occasionally when doing yard work to cut brush and dig weeds. Also sees some use alongside the metal detector.

This is a beast for sure. I have already tried it with an outside tree branch and is cut through that nicely.
