Tinkering mat
on: November 18, 2018, 07:21:17 PM
I see these mats in Youtube videos.

I was thinking that an MTO version with an exploded diagram of a multitool, Sak or Def's head would be pretty 8)

Would make a good addition to multitool.org merchandise.

Just a thought

Let me see what I can find.  I had a mousepad made up but haven't been able to find much in the way of larger scale mats as of yet.  As for a graphic, we have done shirts with the patent drawings on them and they are pretty cool.  It wouldn't be too hard to use something like that again.

If we use a SAK, assuming no copywrite issues, show which layers can take which tools? An interchangability diagram.

If there's any issue with copyrights, you can have the pictures (some of them) of MTo calendars or a timeline of MTo, from the beginning, with the special dates marked (launching MTo store, SAKWiki, reaching 100/500/1000 members, etc.)

They do look nice - but if you want an off the shelf version without the fancy graphics a self-healing cutting mat works very well.  I use an A2 one in the garage as a working surface.

Instead of Grant's head, why not a diagram of Grant's ankle?

More than enough bolts and bits to put into a diagram there! 8)

Maybe not. The CT scanners they're making now can take photos of the inside of your head in pretty amazing, full color detail now. At least those the local hospital has do.
