Day 5
Our son's scooter needed some service  :D
The Spirits pliers did a great job.
I think for this task the finer tooth pattern was ideal  :tu:

I've used "another Swiss Tool" to bend back the springs mounting on the other end...
Dad to the rescue! Well done!  :tu:

I like those jobs more than the ones I get from another family member  :D

Day 07

Had to remove lime from the water inlet in the flush. We have very hard water here. It's insufficient just to use acid to dissolve the lime because the acid doesn't get everywhere.

Used the spirit to unscrew the button.

Also used the chisel today while discarding some boxes (no pic).

day 7 - mostly food prep again and getting this little saw ready for tomorrow

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Day 07 :

Spent some time this morning finishing up a small sewing project for Mrs Nix.  Scissors came in handy for snipping bits of thread.

In a momentary lapse of attention, I broke a needle. Large driver was perfect for extracting and replacing the broken remains with a new needle.

After one week in the challenge, I think I've used the scissors about 12 times. Other tools have been used once or maybe twice at the most. The knife blade I've used....maybe 4 times.

Still trying to figure put how to shrink images on my I Pad  to a size this  forum can handle . I have Tapatalk , and some image sizing apps , just don’t seem to be making any headway .

Best Regards,

Chris

I originally used an app called photo shrinker. Worked decently for just shrinking pics.

I now use Pixlr, as you can edit and custom resize when you save.

The Pliers Wrench is another great tool.  I keep both because there are a few places where the spanner fits better than the pliers wrench.  Knipex are kind of like olives or cheese, So far I havn't found a Knipex I don't like.

It looks great...almost what I make except I add cubes of roast beef, ham, salami or your favorite kind. Cheese is cut into cubes also. Anti-pasta salad! I need to go to the fridge...

Day 7:

Slow lazy Sunday. Had to use it some serious dad duties of opening diaper and baby wipe boxes. Can opener works well on opening boxes.

Day 8

The butter blade sliced my loaf nicely but could do with a bit more length to seriously replace my Vic bread knife and left a small but uncut centre

And scissors removed labels from my new lunchpack.
