I just picked up this 60's era Japanese multi tool wrench today.  It is etched with Adventure Cutlery on the blade and the tang mark is Japan.

Did it have the stampings on the handle to make it look like the monkey is "excited" when the philips driver is deployed ?

No, unfortunately no etching on this one.  Just that style tool.
