Victorinox with a gold ingot
on: October 02, 2018, 08:03:01 AM
Hi,
I noted that there are different types of the gold ingot on the Victorinox classic #0.6203.87.

Printed Victorinox catalog includes UBS hallmarked ingot. However there are versions of ingot as on my pictures that are not from UBS. All these are professional catalog pictures looking exactly like Vic stock photo.

I think it may be tempting to take 1gr of gold, then to stick it on a $15 SAK and mark up the price up to $200.
But I am shopping to find Victorinox factory product, I would not buy retro-fitted or mods. OTOH, if Vic used different types of ingots, then I will have to consider these variations too.

Maybe someone will have more info about it. Which one is the one?

That's all that Victorinox is doing, isn't it?
I can't see paying $200 for a Classic, factory or not.

One gramme of gold = almost $40 currently. Add on $15 for the classic, a very reasonable total of $55. Maybe add on $10-20 more, for ‘unique-ness’.

Just how much did Vic retail these things for anyway?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

That is real gold??? I thought it was just gold colored for show...but if its real gold and under $100 that would be interesting.
Back from checking eBay...they starting at $160 and over $220 on some...seriously to far north for me
