Key Sergeant: Key ring removal tool
on: October 07, 2008, 08:11:51 PM
I just found this cool little gadget:

http://www.keyringopener.com/index.html

I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I just ordered six of them, but I really think we need to do a group buy for them. What do you think? Their site says there is a quantity discount starting at 100 pieces. I think we could meet that amount quite easily. Here is a mini Youtube video on the Key Sergeant:

I am very excited about this product. I've always used a screwdriver for split rings, but they just don't twist the ring very good. It looks like this product solves that problem. How cool would these be for gifts for friends and family. I know my Mother-in-law would love one!  8)

Ouch!  I always end up with broken nails.  :D  I change stuff on my keychain so much that I really could use a dedicated split ring tool. They would also make a cool zipper pull! I'm not sure about it as a lotto scratching tool though.  ::)

I have tough nails, I guess.  I've never chipped one on a key ring or a nail nick.

Same here... always use my nails. My nails are hard to cut too, blasted things. I actually have to cut them after I soak them or take a shower. =|

It's a good thing he's not using a breakaway neck lanyard.

I just received my oder and I must say I'm very impressed. The quality is fantastic and it works great!  I think it is worth the $3, but there doesn't seem to be too much interest here. I know $3 seems like a lot for a key removal tool, but my nails are shot! LOL!!!

group buy?  :D

I had to give this one last bump for everyone to check it out.  :D  I love the way this tool keeps the split ring open while you're trying to attach a key or gadget. Try doing that with your fingernail.  :ahhh

I need to look into these.  I find attaching split rings to lanyards are a real PITA.  This may help.

I have 100 of these on order right now. They should be here next week. I'll have a few for sale if anyone is interested. I should be able to do them for $2.50 each shipped.

I'm not sure where they are made????

The "Sarge" is pretty neat but I have the super expensive "ultra" version of key ring removal tools. It's called the "wife". They come equipped with their own fingernails. And if you behave yourself she may get a beer for you.
