One of my favorite builds!
on: November 10, 2018, 03:27:01 AM
I used to do some forging and loved to make Damascus. Have not been able to do any more than heat treating for the last 10 years now, but going through some boxes a while back I found a couple billets that I made back then.  I used one to make this knife. The handle scales are Canary wood as is the stand base. The guard and stand is antler from my last buck. I never even made a sheath for this knife, it stays out on display.

:like: :iagree:
VERY NICE looking Bowie style knife. I like those little extra with the handle and the foreguard (I think that right word for the part that keeps your hand from sliding up the knife).

That's very nice Dan
I watch them making Damascus on youtube and can see a huge amount of time and effort went in to making that blade  :salute:

Reckon...like 'I reckon that's nice.'....like 'I reckon we can go...'
If I reckon correctly reckon can be used as a form of 'remember' or also 'I guess'.
Example of 'remember': If I reckon correctly, we used to have a nice yard.
Example of 'I guess': I reckon we could go down to the store.'

There is no 'reckon' with that knife. 'That's is a cool knife, if I reckon the OP correctly!'
